There Are Eight Candles [100 words]
Aug. 7th, 2006 05:10 pmA candle burns in the darkness. Is it a miracle? I no longer believe in miracles. Who are these strangers among us?
Now there are two candles in the sky. Why do they not show themselves? What are they hiding?
Three candles! Stop leaving strange scrolls in caves, and stay out of my cornfield!
Five candles now. Perhaps they are hostile! They are in every city! They do not seem to like bacon! Perhaps this can be used as a weapon?
Seven candles! They are responsible for all the world's wars! I have not been drinking!
